The Sun-Room Ceiling is fitted to the underside of your current ceiling. Therefore, from the outside, there will be very little change in the appearance of your conservatory. On the inside your conservatory will be fully clad with uPVC panels with a tongue and groove effect. The Equinox product on the other hand replaces the current conservatory roof with a new tiled roof and a plastered interior. Both solutions are very aesthetically pleasing..
Time to Install
Installation is fast for both the Sun-Room Ceiling and the Guardian Roof.. Here at Sun-Room Hendon, we can install a Sun-Room Ceiling within 24 hours and the Equinox Roof should be completely installed and plastered within 3 - 5 days.
Due to the materials used, the manufacturing and fitting guidelines and the guarantee provided, there is a large difference in price between the two structures. A Sun-Room Ceiling will work out at in the region of a fifth of the price when compared to a Equinox Roof.
Both systems have great insulating properties. A Sun-Room Ceiling uses insulation with a U-value of 0.175
A Sun-Room Ceiling allows you to keep original roof vents and if needed, some of your ceiling can be left open to let in additional light. A Guardian Roof allows for the installation of roof vents, as well as the locating of spotlights where necessary.
